Legos are Sexist

Well, all the “Lego Friends” sets are marketed  to girls and are all purple and pink. Complete with atomically incorrect super slim, curvy dolls, as opposed to the Lego characters in other sets, which, last time I checked where gender-neutral squares. Only 21% of identifiably gendered Lego figures are female, so there s a bias there, too. 

IMG_1458 Here is a news article from LA times on the figures. Lego’s company statement, that the sets were based on feedback from girls and not necessarily meant for only girls, is here. So, thoughts?
