We started today’s meeting by reviewing the following dictionary definition of self-esteem:

A confidence and satisfaction in oneself. Self-respect.

Sasha added, “A boost of energy,” to our working definition.

Jane expanded with, “Not always being right, but learning how to be right.”

Then, we talked about adjectives and did a freewrite based  on those descriptions. Some examples were brilliant; intelligent; smart; funny; sad; energetic; empathetic; creative; and awesome.

After that, the STEAM girls came up with these titles for their web pages:

AIDAN: The Journey to Becoming a Unimermaid
CAMI: Alex in Wonderland
ELLIE: Drawings of Animals
ISES: The Transition to High School
JANE: Digital Notebook
JOYOUS: The World of Funny Quotes
MICA: FOOD
SASHA: The Wonderful World of Unitatos

Finally, these STEAM girls worked on their content.
